Johannesburg like any other city is a metropolis. But, unlike any other city it is the world’s largest man-made forest with approximately 10 million trees. Nestled amidst these millions of trees in the northern suburbs is “The Parks” – an established area of Johannesburg (dating back to approximately 1896), which speaks sophistication with its trendy restaurants and side-walk cafes, antique shops and art galleries. And not forgetting its gorgeous green spaces and sounds of nature.
Early in 2009, Johannesburg-Guesthouses launched its website www.johannesburg-guesthouses.co.za, an area-specific accommodation site operating around the burgeoning Rosebank CBD, and with easy access to Sandton. Located in a neighbourhood environment and central to the main centres all accommodation available is well suited to both the business and leisure traveller.
All of our establishments are located within close proximity to the Rosebank Gautrain station, making it ideal for travellers arriving from O.R. Tambo International Airport. For those relocating or business travellers on longer assignments a longer stay option is also often available within the range of many accommodation options.
From onset of your booking, you will have direct contact with our guesthouse owners. The Johannesburg-Guesthouses website has a 14-day availability schedule which reflects all of our establishments as well as availability of rooms. Our members work on a referral system, and therefore if a guesthouse receives an accommodation enquiry but is fully booked, you will be referred to a guesthouse within close proximity. Most of our guesthouses are also members of the National Accommodation Association of South Africa (NAA) and regular inspections are conducted to ensure high standards are maintained across the board.
Joburg’s heartbeat is unique, a city that easily wins you over with its diverse, fast-paced and friendly vibe. It comprises a wonderful mix of different accommodation and attractions for the foreign and local tourist, or the business traveller in and around Johannesburg. It is a city that will always welcome you, especially if you are staying in the “Garden Suburbs” of Rosebank!
