Cape Town – it’s seriously one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Mountains, beach, ocean, penguins, yummy food, views to die for, art, history, culture, nightlife, markets, amazing people and pure delicious unbelievable beauty. You can explore on your own or with a guide, stay in small guesthouses or luxury hotels, eat in coffee shops or some of the best restaurants in the world, climb Table Mountain, walk in the forests, see baboons and ostrich, go wild, enjoy! Cape Town is up there with New York, Sydney and London, a remarkable big and beautiful city.
Cape Winelands – the villages of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, just half an hour out of Cape Town, are divine. Small, quaint and filled with character and atmosphere. There are mountains everywhere, magnificent vineyards, Cape Dutch architecture, and – we make some of the most exquisite wines. Explore on your own in a hired vehicle, get a driver and a guide, ride a bicycle and mostly – try our wines, eat cheese, olives and chocolate! You can make a whole foodie thing out of a visit and stay in some of the most gorgeous hotels or wine farms.
The Garden Route – a drive from Cape Town through to Port Elizabeth is magnificent. Take three days, swim, hike, eat, be adventurous, laze on beaches, jump off the highest bungee bridge in the world, swim with dolphins, dive with sharks and watch whales – there are endless possibilities. The main places to visit include Oudtshoorn, Knysna, and Plettenberg Bay, you can do a self drive or take a guided tour, add this to your bucket list!
Kruger National Park – the most important part of an African visit – a safari. Kruger Park is the African bushveld at its best. You’ll see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) as well as smaller game and beautiful birdlife. View game from an open land-rover, walk with or track animals, be amazed at the graceful giraffe, fall in love with zebra, stay in luxury suites or walk in style tents, be amazed, be astonished, have many close encounters!
Johannesburg – like Cape Town, Jozi is indeed a world class city, a must visit on any South African itinerary. A weekend can be filled with fabulous food markets, great shopping, African art, sculpture, walking, museums, action and activity. Soweto, the Apartheid Museum, Wits Art Museum, Neighbourgoods Market, Maboneng – there is so much to do here. Stay in a Johannesburg Guesthouse where you will be so well looked after you will never want to go home!
